That actually reminded me of the premade sandwiches you can buy with the lettuce on them and the lettuce tastes disgusting, its all soggy.

Even worse is when you open a sandwich that is labelled as containing tomato - and all that is there is one chunk of the 'button/inner core' and not much else.

Yes I used to hate cabbage, cauliflower, parsnips, turnips, swede etc... now I love them all... I used to hate salad too but I love it...even radishes

And I used to have a pet hate for things with 'bits' in, but it doesn't bother me now

I'm exactly the same. root veggies I cannot get enough of. Salad were a total no go area. Weird how tastes change as we age.

I also love green vegetables. I don't go a bundle on root vegetables though, they taste too sweet for me but I will eat them if they're served up to me.
