Obviously Deana thought the whole thing was hilarious because she repeated the Charlie thing ad nauseum.There comes a time when you can see someone is not amused ,hurt even and then you stop.You don't repeat the same joke all day.Thats humiliating someone, bullying even.

Exactly. She is only doing what he has tried to do to her. They have both tried humiliating eachother about their love of money. The only difference is that Deana is better at it than Luke and wasn't as affected by his attempts.

I don't think he's thick - this is just typical ego-maniac behaviour. Many bosses of companies and the like actually convince themselves they can't make mistakes, if called on it, even with evidence it doesn't register and they still deny or shift blame.

Deana is a stronger personality than Luke and he can't deal with it, which is why he has no answer - he can't be wrong in his mind but he has no comeback to the person with a stronger ego. The same reason he couldn't say much about the "Charlie" comments - his only logical answer in his mind is "I'm not called Charlie, I'm called Luke". She has mentally broken him as a horse trainer would a stallion and he cannot recover from that.

It seems a lot of supporters of Deana had put her on a pedestal as some perfect ice queen, and instead of understanding the very human trait of her wanting some "payback" for the sh*t treatment she's received from the insider gang, they have turned on her for taking the opportunity of needling one of her main tormentors throughout the show.
