Well said, spot on. Too many people pidgeon hole others. We all are capable of making our own minds up. My wife dosent like her because she is a trouble maker and way too cocky. My daughter likes her because she is a stand up girl and although she isnt going to spend money voting for her anymore, she still supports her. I dont like her because she is coming accross as a player and not a nice one either. 3 adults, 3 different views, one result, vote Adam.

My Mum and most of my female Cousins, don't like Deana not because of her looks but because she is not to be trusted in their view.

I also find a lot of Women don't like Deana but it's for what she says and does, not how she looks, which in all honesty it cannot be justifiably said she that she is not really nice looking.
It's just a shame her personality is far less nice though.

I'm a female fan of Deana but I'm going to put that aside in this topic to say, I HATE when people generalise based on sex and also accuse people of not liking a HM because they're jealous of them. Why would anybody be jealous of someone they haven't even met? It's ridiculous.

I completely agree, it is ridiculous that someone would be jealous of someone they have never even met but in reality it's very common amongst men and women.
In the same way it's ridiculous that anyone could claim to 'hate' someone they don't actually know but some people do get extremely hateful about people they've only seen on TV.

And sadly the generalisation based on sex thing is all too common! Women do it about men, Men do it about women and they always will.
A lot of people do it as a bit of a wind-up, leg-pull type thing (i'll hold my hand up to this one ).

All sad but all realities, whether we like it or not.

I have to disagree with you on this. I really don't believe that anyone who dislikes Deana is jealous of her. Jealous of what? and I'm asking this as a fan of hers. Because she's pretty? most people who disliked her, liked equally pretty girls in there. Because she's had all the men chasing her? Well, she hasn't really. So what exactly are you saying people are jealous of?

People get jealous of people on tv or in the public eye for many reasons Niamh and looks can and often is one of them.
People also get jealous of people's success or the way they carry themselves or how clever they might be. They don't have to know someone to get jealous of them.

I'm not saying it's right or a good way to be but it is a fact that people DO get jealous of people that they know and that they don't know.........fact of life (sadly!).

Basically i'm not jealous of Deana, i like her so i don't know why people might be jealous of her but people do get jealous of people they don't even know so it's not impossible that someone might be jealous of Deana for whatever reason.

The only one I really couldn't stand was Noirin and I can remember other posters at the time saying ah, you don't like her cos she's gorgeous!!! No, I didn't like her cos imo ahe was a player.

All female hms I have supported strongly and think they are great people, also happen to be stunners, and highly supported by male fans too. So jealousy, no.

Ahhh yeah..I remember that so well. Every female who disliked her was jealous, every male that disliked her was peed off that she wouldnt want them and they fancied her.

I even made a thread called 'every male who dislikes marcus is jealous of him' to take the piss a bit and show people how ridiculous their argument was. However since then we have still had the 'jealousy' thing thrown about each year

Imo if you are jealous of someone it's because they have something you want and don't have. If you are comfortable with your lot in life you are hardly likely to be jealous. Why would anyone be jealous of a bunch of wannabees on a tv gameshow on a z list channel - the mind boggles!!!

I am glad you cleared that up Niamh. Some deana suporters just see the word deana and straight away they jump on that poster and try to be clever or pressure them into going away. On the other side we have posters that spout so much phyco babble that it reads like a jumble of words that mean little.
