Good article by Owen Jones the other day about how replacing Bush with Obama hasn't really changed that much in terms of America's foreign policy http://www.independent.co.uk/opinion...y-8073568.html

give him time he had to end 2 nightmare wars, which hes sort of done
he has ben far far more successful overseas too, he got osama, loads of his henchen, he helped topple ghaddhaffi , hes also reduced the military spending by nearly a trillion and abandoned the europe wide missile defence system, plus hes disarming the us and ruassian nuclear missiles by 40% over the next few years.

Apparently he has a 57.4% chance but then I don't want to look to bookmakers for American elections

I thought they felt he let them down in places like Detroit and other ghettos though?

compared to Mitt Romney? Obama is still black. don't underestimate that.

Let's be real, how many oppurtunities in our lifetime will black people have to vote for a black candidate?

his economic policy has been vastly more successful than any in europe

his growth in gdp superceedes all of european nations, hes created more jobs per head too

im right of centre, i detest big government. but I also recognize the need to regultate markets and especially monoplies and cartels. the monopolies commission has been way too weak for years. i dont think obama is a big government socialist. in fact hes radically scaled back the state and state jobs. he simply had to reinvest into the infrastructure and into industries. i think he was very brave to also invest into healthcare too. the long long term benefits of that will be enormous and wont entirely be felt for years, decades to come

the indiustries are already reviving, roads, cars, steel too

hes also hammered corrupt corporations, british petroleum a massive $37 billion, other corrupt mortgage lenders a whopping $25 trillion in february this year

hes a man in the centre , too clever to get too caught up in polarised politics, he simply uses his brain and integrity to hand pick each policy on merit

his biggest problem is getting unemplyment down further, he did well to go from 11% to 8.2%

europe is a massive problem, its way too socialist. but it is also over regulating small busineses and over deregulated big business. europe is therefore more corrupt in the way it enforces the wealth pyramid and makes it harder for the poor to get richer and harder for the rich to get poorer

Hmm, North Carolina was the closest win for Obama in 2008 (49.69% vs. 49.36%)... Indiana 2nd.

That's not all blacks though. It's just the stupid ones who give them all a bad name.

I'm a financial conservative (there's a difference between conservatives, there's the social conservatives and then's there me and my mom) and I'm considering voting for Obama at least leaning towards him.

Personally I live in a battleground state and I just want election day to get the hell here. ARGHHHHH Every 5 secs on the telly there's a ad against Obama and then the next ad is throwing the previous one out the window (Yes, it's legal in the states)

Well that's right, obviously not all black people are homophobic, but a large proportion are, certainly a larger proportion than whites and asians. but Obama does try to play both sides. He tries to play up his Christianity, and how devoted to gawd he is, and then he tries to support being pro-choice and pro-gay out of the corner of his mouth.

He's just like all politicians, you have to choose between pleasing some of the people all of the time, or pleasing all of the people some of the time. He's obviously chosen to please all of the people some of the time. I wish he would be more like Jimmy Carter. Jimmy Carter is my favorite President of the modern era.

Depends which ones you mean tbh. A lot of people from the Middle East (Western Asia) have extremely homophobic views...mostly down to the fact that they're more likely to be religious (Muslims usually).
