Still waiting to see a link to these suppossed murders...??

I am aware of specific US troops that have murdered civilians, and they have gone to trial in the US and been imprisoned for those crimes.. is that what you are referring to? They didn't kill 1 million though. i'm certain of that.

That's low Bobnot.

This thread sucks, I'm not posting again in it. People trying to trivialise 9/11 and make it sound like it was ok as there are other mass murders happening in the world.

It was a shocking day and 3000 people were murdered. Horrific regardless of all arguments.

Respect to NYC

Who is trying to trivialise it?
3000 people being murdered is horrible 1 million people being murdered in response to it is at the very least 60x as horrible.
But then again they dont get lots and lots of sad tv shows with sad music in the background shown constantly so they musnt be as important.

I have to agree with Alex. The 9/11 attacks had a much greater impact on society than any other bombings and completely turned around a lot of beliefs and marked the beginning of a different era for the world.

I love just sitting down and watching documentary after documentary about it during this time. Some remarkable and scary stories.

Yes the events of the Twin Tower attacks etc are surrounded by controversy but you should remember the innocent people killed in the attacks. R.I.P.

A bigger tragedy is how many soliders and civilians have been killed in the following wars, tbh. I can't wait until the war in Afghanistan is over, the Western countries need to back off from the middle east and let them solve their own problems, we've caused so much destruction through our retalliation, much more than two towers.

All that being said, I still think 9/11 is a tragedy and its victims should be remembered.

I tend to agree with Arista, I think that's what will happen too. You can't advance a society 500 years in just 10

That may be, but our presence there is generally destructive, countries get better through revolution, not occupation.

Canadian tv went cray cray with 9/11 documentaries and even some conspiracy theory reports.

Although i don't call myself a conspiracy theory nut, it's always interesting hearing different angles of such a tragic yet intriguing story - especially if its consequences are as seismic as 9/11. True thousands of innocent people lost their lives, but two words : Building 7.

Just food for thought, nothing more.

I'm 14, and normally, teenagers are intrigued in XBOX and all that ****, I'm not. I'm more interested in things like this.

It amazes me how Bush stayed presidant for a long time, but as soon as Obama trotted along, bish, bash, bosh Bin Laden is dead and more of the Al Queda are taken out.

Thank got for Obama

I can remember where I was when I heard about it, seems like only a matter of years ago. Certainly not 11 :/
