No matter what you think of Matt Cardle, James should wait until he's in a position to say "I'm more successful than you". Matt's right, wait until you've actually made the achievement instead of presuming you will.

Epic embarrassment if he flops now.

Yes, but is it not a tad excessive and arrogant to come out saying "I'm better than you" less than 24 hours after he's won the show and has no album or sales under his belt to support him?

I don't get James' comment about creative control though. Hasn't Matt Cardle moved to a new label where he gets to write a lot of his own stuff whereas James has just signed himself onto Simon "manufactured Syco" Cowell's label?

Spot on,that is why Matt Cardle has been snubbed in the XFactor ads etc,I dont really get why people think he isn't doing well,he is doing fine and doing it how he wants to do it,he pulled away from Syco,hence he is never mentioned or featured.

okay first off this is in the Daily Mirror so can we stop treating it as if it's some forthright attack on Matt Cardle, it's clearly been exaggerated if not fabricated

secondly, taking the Daily Mirror as gospel, where does it say "I'm better than you"? It says that all the albums released by male winners haven't been great albums. They haven't.

I said the basis of what he was saying was "I am better than you".

Saying all previous winners had crap albums and weren't successful with no creative control.

Whilst some of that could be subjective, it's also presuming James will be any different.
