I don't think you can really persuade anyone to stay or not. They either do or they don't. I just stayed in the BB section when I first joined and then gradually went to different parts. Nobody asked me to stick around, I just did lol TiBB does have lots of different things to offer but they might not be for everyone.

..I know I used the word 'persuade' in the OP Joe..but the thread was meant to be more to concentrate on the great things about TiBB, of which there are many..and even the 'moaners' keep logging back on and posting here..so it can't be as bad as they moan about, can it..?...I feel as though there has been a lot of negativity here recently, so it's always good to balance that out with the good things..especially with the new CBB posters..let them know that it's a good friendly site, if they feel like hanging around off season..more of a 'PR' thing than persuassion....

...how ironic...

I agree to a point Ammi, but if I'm being honest it's not always so friendly of late is it?

I certainly wouldn't show them the same tired old posts by people that just drone on and on and on.

And on.

Its much more relaxed than other forums *shakes fist at ds you can interact with the mods (can sometimes be a good thing ) as they regularly post.

Its not all about big brother, there is always another reality tv show to post about, and you can pretty much bet that marcus will fall in love with a "big" of't telly that we all thinks is pretty darn ****e.

Not at all. I think I'm around long enough (if not often enough) to escape the requirement; but I don't think I could be arsed.

I completely disagree with your first point. The familiarity of the Mods on here is a major turn off. They have their buddies and pets and hold grudges - from what I've seen. Not good - the DS model of being mods, rather than posters (and not wanting to be all things to all men) is a much saner, safer option. There's also a bit of grandstanding - do we really need to have I AM A MOD writ large under the name of a MOD everytime they post?

Tibbs is a great site, but it's exceptionally, extraordinarily unwelcoming, in my experience. Newcomers are treated with disdain and suspicion and a lot of people, I'd imagine, find the frosty reception doesn't balance the rewards of acceptance.
