I would imagine the list of ingredients would not match with what was actually contained in the burgers, so they would be therefore not comply with trading standards guidelines. A small tolerance only would be allowed percentage wise presumably. Otherwise the said stores would not be removing the offending items.

I'm not surprised.

Aren't chicken fillets sometimes injected with pig protein or something?

A bit of horse won't harm you. I've tried it, not the best meat going though.

My mum used to buy it. It was sold in some supermarkets. But i'm not much of a meat eater. I prefer fish.

If people can stomach eating horse, then that's their choice. You buy a beefburger though, you don't expect to find horse meat in it, not in the UK. I hear some of their burgers also had pork in. Now, I'm not strictly kosher when it comes to eating meat, but some people are, so people who don't eat pork as a religious choice should feel pretty aggrieved.

Like the tesco value range?
I have never bought those either fortunately. I would think lots on low incomes would though, not nice to think that what they are eating could be what we consider dog food is it?
