Good thing he didn't get the leadership of the Lib Dems.
I agree with Livia, he has only pleaded guilty because he hoped the charges would be dropped or thrown out before a trial.

As I said earlier though, far from increasing any likely sentence,he will because of that guilty plea before the trial was under way,he will earn credits and likely get a more lenient sentence.

After hearing
the Taped Phone Calls by his Ex-Wife (on SkyNewsHD)
I can see why he dumped her.

What a Bitch

He is staying in the LibDem party.

This normally isn't me but I couldn't help but laugh that he only got one month taken off for pleading guilty.
He was likely to get 9 months in prison reduced to 8 months.

For what, a load of lies and deceit spanning 10 years, yet he along with other Lib Dems took a holier than thou attitude to Conservative and Labour MPs when any of them got into difficulties and in many ways far less serious than this farce.
Good riddance to the pair of them.

This has been the greatest show on earth, what an expensive media circus for a speeding offence.
The estimated cost of the trial was 2 million, I am glad that they both share in the punishment as they shared in the initial collusion.

who cares? they're both fat and ugly. They were stupid for trying to lie about something so petty. idiots.

you know if the government is putting this in the public eye, there must be something much better going on behind the scenes.

typical bait and switch.

Isn't the UK recently going through a trial of UK soldiers allegedly torturing Iraqi's?? funny how that's not in the news.. hmmmm

bait and switch.

Originally he is a dangerous driver. He could have killed someone the way he was driving. (driving wrong direction, using mobile, speeding..)

Revenge is a sad thing.

Thumbs down Vicky Pryce and Chris Huhne released from prison

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-22507000

Quote:
Vicky Pryce, the ex-wife of former cabinet minister Chris Huhne, has said she is "very pleased to be home" after leaving prison in Kent.

Pryce, who was convicted with Huhne of perverting the course of justice after she took speeding points for him, has served two months of an eight-month sentence.

Speaking via her lawyer, Pryce, 60, said she was looking forward to returning to work as an economist.

Huhne left prison earlier.

Electronic tags

Pryce left East Sutton Park prison near Maidstone, Kent, via a back exit early on Monday with her lawyer Robert Brown.

After returning to her home in Clapham, south-west London, Mr Brown read a statement to reporters on behalf of the mother-of-five.

"Vicky Pryce is very pleased to be home and back with her family," he said.

"She is grateful for all the support she has received from everyone whilst in prison, including her fellow residents and prison staff.

The BBC's Jon Kay was outside Leyhill Prison in Gloucestershire when Huhne was released

"She now intends to spend time with her family and looks forward to returning to her career as an economist."

Pryce has ideas to write about the economics of the criminal justice system, combining her economic expertise with her experience behind bars, according to Mr Brown.

Huhne, 58, was also released on Monday, leaving Leyhill Prison in Gloucestershire by the main entrance, having served eight weeks of his sentence.

He is due to return to the home he shares with PR adviser Carina Trimingham in London.
Blimey, only a QUARTER of the sentence in the slammer .....
