Biologically it's Izzy and Gary's but legally Tina is the birth mother and can choose to keep the child if she wishes.

I don't think the reaction is to do with how they can care and bring up the child at their time of life. But obviously in the woman's case, the baby is at a higher risk of developing a serious condition/disability since she is the one carrying the child.

I think Shaun was referring more to the generic responses people have to stories about women getting pregnant in later life rather than anything anyone said in this particular thread, because those are generally the sorts of comments people make.

Tbh, I think the general negative view of a woman having a child passed a certain age is more of the risk to carrying the baby. Nothing to do with how old they are as a parent once the baby is born.

That's where the difference between an older father and an older mother is.
