I don't understand why they don't just ****ing move it after BOTS for 2 hours, midnight until 2am! Or earlier on at like 2pm-4pm! Pathetic.

BB should be on at 9pm, BOTS at 10pm then live feed 10 - midnight. It was bound to fail in its current time slot.

Disappointing but can't really blame Channel 5. They arent in this business to lose money. The live feed was getting about a 5th (being generous) of the viewership it needed to make sense for Channel 5. With such miniscule numbers, its very doubtful any amount of promotion or any time slot would have made much difference. They tried. The viewers did not respond. Unfortunately the BB hardcore enthusiasts who frequent this board do not represent the population as a whole, which in the end decides these things. Frankly, looking at the programme numbers for the main show, I'm more conerned whether BB itself will survive beyond next summer than I am about minimally viewed live feeds at this point.

What a joke. Either move the timeslot or at least put it on the website for a couple of hours.

Oh well, BB13 I enjoyed you for all of 14 days. More than the last 2.

Ch5 logic.... put LF on at the toughest time for a multichannel and axe it because it's not needed. Typical.

I think the 500-600k people watching LF at night proves viewers DO want to see LF, just at a different time.

What's the average viewing for that channel anyway?

It's hardly a brilliant source of programming.

No shock though.
as I was talking to unhappy on twitter take the other night
have a convo with 50% of the misery twins and in the background you could hear some laughing and real fun they stuck with the misery twin.

I don't really think Endemol wanted it working why would that be? because its already shown HM's in a different light to what they want viewers to believe in a h.l show.
Given this axe does that mean BOTS will be axed also? if the figures keep dropping.
Ben Frow was told within hours of the time being made public this would fail he basically said it was this or nothing.

I have emailed him back from his previous email If I get a reply I will of course post
but sadly I think BBUK (normal version) is all but over.

Watching live feed was like watching paint dry. Bird songs and boring crap does not get many viewers. The show needs ramping up and sorting out quickly before it degenerates into an also ran series.

Gutted!!

It just feels like a tacky rip off of BB now.

Weve gone from getting 2 hours and 45 minutes of house action a day now to just an edited 45 minutes.

I said this would happen and certain members and shant be names said they "couldn't axe it".

Whats the bets this is the last civilian BB.

Doubt it about the last civ BB. With officials, this series could be the highest rated civ BB since its move. But it all depends on how the rest of the run goes.

But regarding the LF. Pathetic. Why not move it? Why axe it altogether?

Im sorry but I think it will be the last one.

Advertisers are only interested in overnights ratings and the fact that the launches without +1 got under 2 million is very very unattractive.

Now with overnights being around 1.2/1.3 million and other Channel 5 programmes like CSI getting nearly 2 million some nights Big Brother just isn't performing well.

Why would they shell out more money on it next year when they aren't getting anything in return.

They have a contract until 2014 don't they? The overnights are the same as BB13, and higher than BB12. I don't think it will be axed if it stays at the same level as it is. BB13 actually went to around 1.1m overnights every night in the 2nd half of its run.

There is no worry.

Noone has seen this contract stating that they have to run the normal series.

Its all speculation.

I see no reason why they cant axe it and just run CBB.

Also 2014 could just be a January CBB and game over.

Who knows.

the reply I got to the suggestion it would fail was pretty intense to be honest. 2hrs wasn't good but when a lot of us saw the time slot it just screamed failure so this isn't a shock its a massive ask for soap fans to drop that in favour of a limited feed

a feeds future is online only it wont work on TV because its ratings reliant
