I'm adopted and my biological mom named me John. She wrote me a letter explaining why she put me up for adoption, when i was 14 my parents gave me the letter and they tried to scratch out the name, but i could still vaguely see that is said John underneath.


I don't think my parents evert considered any other names, My first and middle names are my grandfather's first names.

I was meant to be called Reginald after my grandfather as I was my dad's first child but my mum, not being a horrible neglectful monster, knew that calling a newborn baby "Reginald" would have been tantamount to child abuse so they compromised and called me Greg (G + Reg)

If I was a girl I would have been called Lois. My mum has always loved that name and every time she was pregnant she was hoping it would be a girl so she could call the baby Lois but instead she got three sons
