no way is she straight lol...
some sort of producers for an upcoming event, whether it be a tv show/new album or single, will have told her to go back into the closet. its sad because I really liked that she came out straight away. then she said she was bi and now she's 'straight' totall bull**** IMO... super disappointing.

I don't think the guy who played Sheldon ever denied it though.
He was pictured out in public with his partner so didn't try to hide it. It just didn't become something to confirm until his fame shot up. Last edited by Marsh.; 08-04-2014 at 03:41 PM. |

She can come out again later, people say stupid things they don't mean all the time and then go back on their word later, that's life. I still think she's not a heterosexual woman and she's changed what she's saying for the sake of her career which is on a bit of a slide at the moment. She'll regret doing that in the future I think, regardless of what her actual sexualilty is, she's lied at some point now either way and it's just making her look silly and pathetic.

1) She isn't lying, she thought she was bisexual but it was a phase, i.e. was never really bisexual; in the same way that you might wear flared jeans or have a nose piercing or dye your hair green and then get bored of that phase. It's not who you really are. She's actually a heterosexual woman; so her claim of being bisexual is a bit tacky and demeaning to bisexuals. 2) She is lying, she is a bisexual woman, in which case she's going back into the closet for some undisclosed reason, potentially because her career is in trouble, in which case she's making herself look stupid in the process when down the line she'll admit that she actually is bisexual and she claimed otherwise for whatever reason. 3) She is lying, she is actually a homosexual woman, in which case she's going back into the closet for some undisclosed reason, potentially because her career is in trouble, in which case she's making herself look stupid in the process when down the line she'll admit that she's actually homosexual and she claimed otherwise for whatever reason. Regardless of which one it is, she's lied about her sexuality at some point down the line and has made herself look a bit pathetic, in my opinion. Last edited by Z; 08-04-2014 at 11:47 PM. |

You know something called breaking a quote down does actually exist, that's just made it impossible for me to respond now
I lean more towards nurture in the nature vs nurture argument on sexuality yes, but regardless of whether your sexuality is determined at birth or not it is still not a choice and you arguing it is is actually quite offensive. I'd argue that in a lot of places throughout the world gay people would choose to be straight if they could since that way they wouldn't have to face a life full of rejection, isolation and self-hate. Why would you choose to be gay in an environment where you felt like you'd be looked down upon for it or worse still, killed for it? The answer is - you wouldn't. I'm doing anything but 'pigeon holing' people, I'm actually doing the opposite by arguing that sexuality is a spectrum and varies from person to person and is not a black and white you're either this or that issue. That's more than most people believe. All I'm saying is that your sexuality is not a choice, is not something that can be changed and experimentation has no bearing whatsoever on your sexual orientation either, because it's just experimentation. She's addressed it on Twitter:
http://m.tmi.me/1e6RYV And there my friends lies the problem with labelling sexuality, the media are so eager to box people into one of three categories when really it's not like that at all and people lap it up and then we get issues like this one where someones experimentation has been used as an indicator of their sexual orientation when it wasn't at all |
