There was and still is to a degree a lot more 'discipline' attached to the Catholic Church but it is far more relaxed now than it was. Generally Catholic services, re - the Mass, go on a lot longer usually than other Christian churches services. |

I would not include mormans whether they want to shelter under that umbrella or not. That is one made up religion too far.

I like Jesus, think he was great and very wise, but think Christianity is a load of bollocks, what religion am I?

Most historians would not accept that jesus actually said much of the stuff he is supposed to have said.
I would not trust word of mouth after one day in the middle east never mind after a 100 or so years |

When I was a kid, Catholic priests who could get through a mass in 35—40 mins were very popular!

But that someone we know as Jesus existed is not in much historical doubt. Whether he was the son of god, divine etc is a different issue altogether. |

![]() They hold "regular" length Easter masses too. Just like at Christmas. I'm a Catholic and our masses last around 40 minutes, extended to an hour on some feast days. Last edited by Marsh.; 19-07-2014 at 11:03 PM. |

Easter services can be very long.
Anglican services I have been to are rarely over in less than one hour. |
