I don't understand the hate for Steven, yes the man is a prat but I disliked kim way more and dislike some other housemates more than him. In my eyes Steve's just a wally and nothing more.

I think the fact that he actually can't say one sentence without the word "I" or "me" in it has a lot to do with it!
