Says a lot about Helens mindset IMO, that she would even consider that others might think pick friends based on shallow reasons like this

Why does this kind of stuff never get played for Ashleigh to hear? she's the one taking all the heat for bitching this year, having her conversations being played to Helen etc, why no flip side? Helen can then act like she never does it when that was as nasty as anything Ashleigh ever said about her

Because it's used as ammunition to set Helen off, then give her a warning, make her look bad in the edit. Let her sleep it off then they think of more ways to poke Helen with a stick, set her off and have footage for the highlights.

It's so transparent after 10 weeks I can't believe the producers actually get away with so much manipulation.

If I was in that house I'd organise a revolt.

Yeah but they've equally made sure that Ashleigh is known as the bitchy one, if they chose another HM and focused in on them everytime they spoke about another HM and then let said HMs listen to them then any of them could be that bitchy one imo

True. But as I say, over the weeks they grew more certain they could just get Helen to kick off on cue so it was everything concerning her and Ashleigh that gradually became the focus.

If anything, that shows the more obvious side of manipulation this series. That even the sh*t stirring wasn't fair or equal but focussed on a select few.

Yeah that is very true which is why I would kill to see next years theme be back to basics, it's been very tiring watching this series. It'll never happen though, letting the HMs do their own thing is too unpredictable for them

And that's the point.Helen should've been a novelty for maybe a month tops,I liked her in the first few weeks but she just became so tedious and depressing and brought the whole house down with.Her negativity(amonst other things probably) is infectious.

Like with Pauline. You could tell from just two weeks what a nasty person she was & I was like "okay, you are never going to change but only get worse".
If Helen is really like this in her personal life then she will never be happy.

Helen has a point, helen would be friends outside with the type of people she's associated with in the house with closely, ashleigh hasn't... by her own admittance she wouldn't, they were yes men and hangers on is all, 100% disposable.

In the Big Brother House, everyone is forced to become friends with people they wouldn't usually encounter on the outside.

Regardless, Helen's comment that the people Ashleigh makes friends with uglier and less cool people was extremely shallow, a huge generalisation, and really really offensive to Ashleigh and her friends. Just because Helen deems them to be "uncool" doesn't mean Ashleigh or anyone else does.

Surely, even as a Helen fan, you could agree that this comment was really unnecessary, shallow, and unfair?

Just seems biased to me. It was a completely unfounded comment and completely oozed bitterness. There was no need for her to get so personal about Ashleigh's friends in a trial about Ashleigh. Even Pav and Ash knew they couldn't say it, it was just awful!
