I read it, it said... consideration is given as to whether the votes should be included. That doesn't mean cancel.

I don't believe that Helen wasn't singled out for the pass to the final, there wouldn't have been a show without her.

I don't believe that Mark wasn't delierately chosen to sort his debt out.

I don't believe that Pav or Chris poled more than Winston.

In short I don't believe anything they are saying.

Come to think of it it says 'Carlsberg' on the side of some London buses it does't mean to say that you are going to get a pint when you get on board.

In short don't believe everything you read.

Strange innit that they have had to come out with this statement.

Actually Helen had 80,000 votes more than Christopher and 5,000 more than Ashleigh!

Since the difference between Helen and Ashleigh was 1.2% (4631 votes), it means ~386k votes were cast.

Ashleigh would've won if the lines had been closed just a few minutes earlier.

Why is this thread on here...this is CBB.
IMO posting those figures makes it all look more unbelievable ...anyway I don't want to read about Helen anymore...she's had her five minutes of fame...I'm on here to read about CBB

From that they made around 150k-200k from voting revenue.
Enough to pay the winner.

I don't care a jot about the voting or complaints - but that statement above just isn't true is it?

They saw Winston as a winner. Never heard the programme before but it is interesting.

Default News article - Channel 5 release statement in response to 'fix' claims about Helen's Win

James has posted a new TiBB frontpage article.

[quote] Channel 5 have put a statement on the official Big Brother website relating to issues which have been raised about the voting process, by some fans, after Helen Wood won Big Brother 15.

Apparently, 400 complaints were sent to the TV regulator OFCOM.

This is the statement:

It likely that C5 was getting heat from outside agencies, like OFCOM and perhaps even a few sponsors.

A very detailed response is an attempt to put the matter behind them.

I'd imagine that they are also concerned about CBB. If half their audience is too p*ssed off to vote, they lose money.

The fact that they got at least some of their official statement wrong just shows a bit of lack of professionalism at the very least. I can't imagine who wrote the statement, who checked it and let it pass - when it had a blatant error in it which throws into question their credibility.

Maybe they waited till Helen had the most votes, they should have a set time at the lines being closed before the final and live evictions i.e. 10pm as they always say "lines will close during the show" one week it might be 9.55 the next maybe 10.05. This gives their favourites as much of a chance as possible of them being saved or in Helens' case of winning. The Matthew/Ash eviction was close wasn't it?, maybe they waited till Matthew had the most votes.
