I bought a Christmas present a few days ago. The shops with their Christmas selling earlier and earlier I think has people thinking about it sooner and getting into the buying spirit earlier.

about the beginning of december when the tree goes up and there are lights/decorations up in town etc I start my shopping any time from september onwards though.

I'm excited for Christmas but wouldn't say I'm in the Christmas spirit. I get into the spirit when the music channels start playing Christmas songs.

I started buying a few weeks ago as I might not be able to go Christmas shopping in November/December. Usually I don't start till late Nov but this year is different
