When she said it is an utter irrelevence. The OP never suggested she said it in the house (actually, it was quite clear that they were referring to comments made before), and their point was reasonable.

If this was a thread dedicated to discussing things she's said in the house, then sure, people would have a point in bringing up how she said it beforehand. As it stands, though, that's not the case. It's quite telling, however, that the best defenses people can muster are "Well, she said it before" and "free speech".

But it is true though, Katie is at worse a bit annoying, and to be quite frank, creating loads of hate threads on her will increase her popularity and increase her chances of winning.

My take is this, if she is a boring housemate, i don't want her to win BB, that judgement will be made by her behaviour in the house. Simple.

I hate to say it but since she hasn't said it or anything greatly offensive so far while in the house this cannot be held against her as a housemate.

She would never have been invited to be a housemate by me however because this is the problem with her, she just cannot keep a hold of her own vile tongue.

There are times when I would give a housemate the benefit of the doubt and judge them purely on the show, but her comments here are far too extreme and hateful to simply discard for me. I'm honestly horrified that some people are defending even this.

Besides, I think it's entirely fair to judge Katie in the house on both what she does on the show and what she's said beforehand. I mean, the entire reason she's in there is her controversial comments, so why is it that we should suddenly forget them when it's convenient for her fans?

There's nothing bad necessarily about siding with Israel. However there's a difference between that and calling Palestinians as a whole "filthy rodents".

She could have said something along the lines of "Israel has the right to defend itself and the Palestinians need to do more to reject terrorism and Hamas before any negotiations for 2 state solution can take place".

I'm honestly baffled that people are defending someone calling for more bombing (and therefore innocent deaths) because she's (again) just being "honest". This is wildly different from being bitchy about names, etc. I'd have hoped that even her supporters would find those comments disgusting, but sadly not.

It does bother me slightly that people always use this analogy, as if black people are untouchable and somewhat have it easy.

Only the other year Ron Atkinson was on CBB and treated as a national treasure, despite calling a black football player a N***** live on air a few years ago.
