I agree Chuff, the so called PC brigade, in all walks of life, are ruining everything that's fair in life. Its one thing to be nasty but another to be ignorant through age or intelligence.

Were they though. My Dad worked on the buses for 40 years and left the county as soon as he retired cuz of the years of racial abuse he had to endure in that job. It amounted to not much more than name calling but 40 years of it took its toll on him. He made his money and then left the country taking his money with him. Cool guy.

Yes 40 years. HE hated it but appreciated the money he was getting so he retired in Sept 2000 and by December he was gone. He'd been planning it for ages. And BTW he's much happier now.

Many people suffer on in silence from bullying words and racial slurs because they want to keep their job and try and earn money. I asked in a civilised manner why his Dad stood it so long if things were so bad, nothing wrong in that ,I would not stay 40 years in a job i hated, In those days jobs were easy to get, you could leave one job on a Friday and start a new one on a Monday ( as i did several times) ,don't try to make things up about what you THINK I meant or said
