Its also driven by voters positive feelings to a candidate rather than negative, so in the end, its should bring the person with the best qualities. That's the theory anyway.

Vote to save only works when there's multiple housemates up, ideally four or five. Since they're always messing with nomination rules they should just make it so that anyone who receives a nom goes up, that'd do the trick.

And an important point that the detractors of VTS always miss when criticising it is the completely unnecessary vote freezes they insist on doing, because that often turns the vote into a head to head which under vote to save is just a reverse vote to evict. Caroline was evicted after they constantly kept saving housemates until she was guaranteed to lose to anti-votes. I wouldn't say I was a fan for the record but there were worse housemates up that week.

Two all up vote to saves a series (excluding the vote to win week) would suffice in culling the dullards tbh, and if you made them doubles that'd be four non-entities rid of. Perfect.

I prefer VTE. It was part of the original format of the show, personally I would like to see the show returning to the original format, for at least a couple of series. EG no contact with the outside world, and no tinkering with the nominations.
