They don't, but it's what they are bred and trained for. They'll usually complete the course when they unseat. I know it's impossible to say whether or not they enjoy it, but in my experience (mostly with eventing, I admit), if they don't want to, they won't.

Opens up a whole can of worms I think as to whether horseracing / eventing / jumping / anything to do with equine sport can be justified. I think it can.

I am against the Grand National,don't bet and don't watch,I believe one horse 'Seedling' died in one of the morning races,that's one too many for me.
