It's a fair point that if there is equality in all other areas it follows that it should not be a detriment being a female broker surely.

well she is trying to equate getting poached to having children and as has been said that is apples and oranges.

Staff will get poached, male and female and acquired too but women staff can and do also have babies i think the point he is making is

And I have made the point that it is down to the employer to decide who he takes on...
It's not apples and oranges though is it as if the focus is meant to be that you are so dedicated to your clients/ the firm you work for that any break no matter how short is frowned upon then why is being poached an acceptable norm.... Is that not more disruptive and/ or detrimental to your clients/firm?

There are some jobs that don't sit with being a mother. I could get a call today that will mean I'll be at the airport in a couple of hours, with no set return date. There are mothers who do my job, I'm not suggesting there are none, but nannies raise their children. If and when I have a child I wouldn't want that.

If the husband stays home, then fine... but it doesn't always work out like that. If I have kids I would want to give them my 100% attention and I couldn't if I was doing my current job.
