She addressed the issue of gardening breaks specifically... that corresponded exactly to his point didn't it?
It's a fair point that if there is equality in all other areas it follows that it should not be a detriment being a female broker surely.

It's a fair point that if there is equality in all other areas it follows that it should not be a detriment being a female broker surely.

well she is trying to equate getting poached to having children and as has been said that is apples and oranges.

Staff will get poached, male and female and acquired too but women staff can and do also have babies i think the point he is making is

Despite my previous humour i am actually all for equal pay and opportunities for women.I do think that maybe some jobs may not be suited for motherhood only in that some proffessions can't afford the woman to have months off on maternity leave.Some women do go back alot earlier.I'd say most proffessions can make concessions for maternity leave but not all.Men usually only get two weeks whereas a woman can be off up to almost a year.

And I have made the point that it is down to the employer to decide who he takes on...
It's not apples and oranges though is it as if the focus is meant to be that you are so dedicated to your clients/ the firm you work for that any break no matter how short is frowned upon then why is being poached an acceptable norm.... Is that not more disruptive and/ or detrimental to your clients/firm?
He is perpetuating the 'jobs for the boys' myth. People trying to drag the mindset backwards are just not de rigueur.

Funny because my daughter has just graduated from Lancaster and her phone just never stops ringing....
As far as I know though she's not going into space.....yet
