There's many BB super fans who would make great housemates who deserve to be in there, but never get through. More than some 20 year old, who probably doesn't even know when BBUK debuted, and is only in there to boost his profile to be a "crapper".

Danny may be fame-hungry, but no doubt he's a fan of the show. He's friends with Victor Ebuwa, and he was at the CBB14 Launch.

I was like 7 and I'm well aware of who he is. And when there's plenty of people who love the show and it's like a dream to go on it's unfair SO many people who just do it to boost careers or for attention get on

Ok I stand corrected there then, but even so, does it matter that he doesn't know them? I'm not defending him for the sake of it as I'm not a Cristian fan, but I don't see why it should matter if they watch the show. I'd actually rather have housemates who aren't as BB savvy as most of them are.

Harriet who was an actual, proper fan of the show (albeit a bit of a mouth piece) got evicted when it was her dream to be there and Cristian is sat there like a spoon sailing through on his looks and he knows nothing about the show, ew, he's gross.

But, he's never seen the show, so he still probably thinks BB makes stars. Not that it did in its heyday.

Yea, surely if you're going on you'd look into a bit, see what the public like and what twists to expect and stuff. He didn't even know last years winner, it's just a holiday camp for him

Well it kind of does matter.

It's unfair that there's many normal people who audition, and are generally interested in the experience, but are turned down, once they say they don't have an agent. But people like him, who are only interested in boosting their profile outside the house still make it through, and are wasting housemates spaces.

Not to mention, he hasn't even done much either.
He's just there to be apart of it, and then expects to come out much more well-known.

As much as I dislike Helen, she is memorable out of the Channel 5 era.
I think anyone who still watches the show, and gets on BB, probably watches the C5 era, as well.

Not to mention it wasn't even a year ago that she won. He clearly doesn't even watch.

His first series was probably CBB15, and is taking tips from Kavana on how to make it towards the end, by doing jack all.

My younger sister is 16, and she watched BB7, and knows who Pete and Nikki are. And she was only 7 years old at the time.

I'm sorry but I just don't get the logic of this at all. I'm obviously in the minority here lol but regardless of what their intention is, I think casting should simply look to put the most interesting characters in, and the criteria of their past BB knowledge just isn't something that I think makes them more interesting to watch. (Obviously I'm speaking generally now as I agree that Cristian is a waste of space lol). I'm coming at this from the point of view of what type of person do I want to watch, rather than what type of person deserves it more (fyi noone really deserves it - it's not a nobel prize). And although I think there are a LOT of problems with their casting at the moment, I don't have a problem with non fans going on the show

I think housemates like him is why the casting has been drag since 2011.

I'm not saying you need to be a massive "superfan".
But it really says a lot when you don't even know who Nikki Grahame is, considering she's probably one of the most memorable housemates ever. Yet alone, not even knowing the person who won 10 months ago.
