Bit of an odd place to take a baby tbf. But those who get all uppity about boobs being used for what they are meant to be used for are stupid. Having said that those who breastfeed in stooopid places (such as on santas knee for a photo op) are stupid too.

Too many seem to do it in random places JUST to shock/get comments/attention.

I admit I'm half joking but I really don't think its unreasonable for mothers to be discreet about something like that, it's not particularly hard to do so and though it doesn't bother me massively it''s also something that I don't think I need to be privy to

Oh on that I agree. There is no need to draw as much attention to yourself as possible like some seem to. Its ridiculously easy to just sit in a coffee shop and feed without announcing to the whole place and its dog that you are doing so

I can't understand anyone being offended by it.I think most people with kids understand that it's just a necessity and is the least sexual thing in the world.However it seems that this lady was drawing attention to it and trying to make a point or be controversial to those people who don't understand or are in some way offended by it.I mean what did she expect.It was either a lesson well learned or as i suspect mission accomplished by her.

Indeed, the only people I'ver ever known to have a problem with it are younger, childless and perhaps slightly immature people (usually male) who can't draw a line between boobs as sex objects and boobs as baby-feeders (they are of course both, under different circumstances

)... or sometimes, mothers who couldn't / didn't breastfeed for whatever reason and are a bit "touchy" about it, or feel like they are being "judged" just because others have done it, or that it's somehow being rubbed in their face. Note that this of course doesn't at all apply to all non-breastfeeding mothers, just a few.

Yeah,Thinking back i think i was like that when i was younger(much younger).Always trying to look past the babies head to get a glimpse of the pink nosed puppy.So i actually can understand looking at it from that perspective but what i should have said is 'i can't understand how otherwise mature adults could be offended or see boobs as only toys instead of their other purpose'

Social conditioning. Boobs are big business $$$$. Can't have them tainted with dirty babies and their repulsive feeding habits.

..I don't know, I'm just becoming a little sceptical of these things..not boobs, they're very lovely and natural, I'm not sceptical about those, just more that a photographer happened to find those boobs/that pic of a mother breast-feeding in the sea of people at the rally and Bernie is a big supporter of the boob/Boobs for Bernie etc and him thanking her for breast-feeding at his rally... If you want to breastfeed your child at a Bernie Sanders rally, he won't mind. In fact, he might actually commend you on fulfilling your motherly duties..so yeah, were those boobs planted there, as it were ...I know that Trump was in some dispute with a female lawyer once over her using a breast pump or wanting to in front of him, so it's obviously no female humps for Trump with the opposite of Boobs for Bernie, so a good thing..(and convenient thing possibly..?..) to have happened at one of Bernie's rallies as it allows him to reinforce his views on breast-feeding in public and how fully supportive he is and I would have thought that all of the 'outrage' just adds in his favour....not that I would care really because I like Bernie a lot, he's saying all of the right things, seems like a really decent guy with some good ideals and values but I'm just not sure about this..is it all a bit convenient, the pic being taken and put up as it was, hmmmm....I will not get all hot under the collar about boobs ..
