Easier to be a boy than a girl? I'm not sure. In the workplace, I would say it's definitely generally easier to be male, because there is a still a glass ceiling for women (although things are improving). But there is no doubt that women get away with things that men wouldn't get away with. For instance, see Cleo's behaviour towards Dirk (when she was being Tiara) If he had behaved like that towards her, there would have been cries of sexual harassment! It isn't fair. I'm all for equality, but have things gone too far? Positive discrimination is still discrimination.

A girl. There's more peer pressure. I have a daughter and am shocked at how image conscious she's becoming.

Depends on your personality, situation etc. Not necessarily harder for girls than for boys or vice versa. You have to look at the individual.

For instance, if someone is overweight, unpretty etc, they could be bullied. If someone is slim and attractive, they may be popular. If someone is gay they could be taunted. You can be ridiculed for all kinds of things, from wearing cheap clothes to wearing glasses. Kids can be cruel.

My point is, it is harder for some than others. Not just necessarily boys vs girls. I hope you get what I mean!

I have always loved Madonna`s song `what it feels like for a girl`.
Sadly, I don`t know, and never will !!! To be honest the pros and cons list goes on for ever so its probably not possible to tick either box!!! I will
definitely settle for being male, but for no other reason than being happy, as I`m sure you girls are too!!!

Anyway, I think men still do have difficulties, but the biological differences between men and women means they experience different sorts of difficulties in life (quite obviously), e.g. men of course don’t get periods and don’t have to go through childbirth, due to the different maternal and paternal instincts. Also, I think in history and over the last centuries, women were always dominated and treated differently; therefore, it’s looked upon that women have had to struggle more as a result to get noticed. Staying at home jobs were normally left to them whilst the men went out to hunt etc. So they have had completely different ways of life throughout history, thankfully that wide gap is narrowing rapidly nowadays, and that isn’t the case any longer.

Oh yeah, did you get the whole "take 2 co-codamol and try and sleep" speech as well? I had 90 seconds between each contraction and finally screamed at the stupid woman to get a monitor in (and a Gynaecologist as well for that matter). Maybe she thought I was just bending over double, screaming and making "I'm in complete agony" faces for shlts and giggles!!!

Boy's can't help not having periods, or going through child birth. It's just natural for a woman to do that. And why women moan about it, I haven't a clue, cause they end up living their children eternally.

I think that being a girl or a boy isnt really easy for different reasons.

The obvious ones for girls are periods, childbirth, discrimination in the workplace etc

For boys there is a lot of pressure to be the defenders, the family guy, provider etc...

I think we all have our things to go through and probs on an equal level living isnt easy either way.
