He weighed about 6 stone and had half his stomach missing and the stories which he told of how he was tortured and mistreated as a POW make what is alleged to have occurred at Guantanamo seem like a fortnight in Benidorm.

I read quite a lot about Changi prison.... what a hell-hole. The torture and cruelty was almost unimaginable and apparently done for fun in a lot of cases. While the Holocaust is remembered annually, you never hear about what the Japanese did in South East Asia.
