Over the weekend the BBC’s former political editor confessed — in an interview in the Sunday Times — that he had written to several BBC colleagues over concerns that the corporation’s political coverage is biased against Jeremy Corbyn. When asked by Lynn Barber whether he was ‘shocked’ by the way the BBC ‘rubbish Jeremy Corbyn’, Robinson replied ‘yes’:
‘Yes. Oddly, although I was off work, I did drop a note to a few people after his first weekend saying this is really interesting and we owe it to the audience to sound as if we’re interested.’ |

Rather than having a leftwing bias, research actually suggests the BBC's output is biased towards establishment and rightwing sources. A study by Cardiff University academics found that while there is always a bias towards political incumbents, the ratio in favour of Conservative politicians appearing on BBC news is far greater than it was in favour of Labour figures when Gordon Brown was prime minister. Business representatives appear much more than they do on commercial news, and appear 19 times more frequently than trade union voices on the BBC Six O'Clock News.

The BBC broke accuracy and impartiality rules in a News at Six report about Jeremy Corbyn's view on shoot-to-kill, the BBC's governing body has said.
... The BBC Trust said the BBC "was wrong in this case to present an answer Mr Corbyn had given to a question about 'shoot to kill' as though it were his answer to a question he had not in fact been asked". |

The former chair of the BBC Trust has accused the broadcaster’s journalists of “quite extraordinary attacks” on Jeremy Corbyn, and questioned whether BBC bosses had abandoned impartiality in their coverage of the Labour leader.
In comments that appear to reinforce recent criticisms of the BBC from supporters of Mr Corbyn, Sir Michael Lyons said he could “understand why people are worried” about impartiality at the public broadcaster. ... Speaking to BBC Radio 4’s World at One programme he said: “I don’t think I’m alone in feeling that the BBC has sought to hedge its bets of late. There have been some quite extraordinary attacks on the elected leader of the Labour Party. I mean quite extraordinary. I can understand why people are worried about whether some of the most senior editorial voices at the BBC have lost their impartiality in this.” "All I’m voicing is the anxieties that have been expressed publicly by others,” he added. |

The media coverage of Jeremy Corbyn has been characterised by a “marked and persistent imbalance” in favour of sources critical to him, a report has claimed.
On TV news, which is bound by strict impartiality rules, double the airtime was given to sources critical of Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn than to those supportive of him, the report found. |

Anyone who doesn't know how pro-Tory the BBC were back when the ConDem coalition got into power has a very, very short memory.

I can play this game too LT
![]() Give it up and accept you're wrong. Criticism exists on both sides, both sides have a point and thus they cancel each other out - in actuality they do a pretty good job of remaining balanced. |

Lt has been crying wolf for a lot time, he's reduced to making outrageous comments to gain attention.
I like lt but the real member is far more interesting than the person he portrays. |

It's worth pointing out I think the difference between ITV News's covering of Trump and the BBC. ITV couldn't make their reporting more negative but from everything I've seen, the BBC has remained fairly impartial. Trump's a diverse figure, and that's putting it politely. He literally cannot expect any other treatment from the media. The press conference yesterday was unedited and live. I watched the whole thing and I can honestly say that the persona the media outlets have been portraying of him are one hundred percent accurate.

The ones that prompted the FBI investigation, as well as examination of Russia's influence by both House and Senate, with committees containing both democrats and republicans.

Is the romance dead?...
But Mr Smith, who joined the Fox News Channel at its inception in 1996, said the American people deserved to know the truth about any “improper communications with Russian officials.” He said: "Your opposition was hacked and the Russians were responsible for it and your people were on the phone with Russia on the same day it was happening and we're fools for asking the questions?" Remember trump... you can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/wo...-a7585041.html

Apparently the whole press conference was a disaster with the outburst from him and the drubbing by fox, he's losing even his biggest supporters now over his Russian dalliances.

The difference being that with some minor googling, one can personally witness Trump being a disaster in real-time every time he opens his face.
