All sounds very selfish to me. The terrible suffering of those poor children should trump all of that.

At the end of the day such suffering seems to come a poor second to the 'mens', needs.

What's wrong with abstinence to prevent bringing children into a world of pain and suffering. Plenty can manage it in the West, it is hardly the end of the world.
