I agree with the first comment completely. And yes... we need a new word. Hopefully though we will eventually evolve into a society where it's natural to treat each other equally and with respect and then we won't need a word for it.

let's hope so. Maybe then we can focus on those most in need. namely disabled people. a group of millions whose cause has been virtually forgotten in the last few decades. disabled only shortlists?

I find the word "feminism" to be unhelpfully divisive to the point that I sometimes suspect it was specifically designed to be that way. A loaded word that supposedly pursues equality. It's a paradox.

If feminism is the big belief that we are all equal, and entitled to the same laws and entitlements, then why is there such a fuss kicked up when the government rightly decided to make the pension age equal?

Was 65 for men and 60 for women, until the new changes, now both men and women retire at the same age. (Age depending on date of birth now) .
So some lose out and some gain.

Mind you, some men do get to retire a bit earlier..63 ish if they were born before April 1954 .
But a lot of people now have to work until 66 plus.

People aren't booing her because of the family she was born into. You're right, that's not her fault.

What she's getting booed for is using the fact she was born into that family to get herself into positions that she simply is not qualified or suitable for.

The drill on a sinking ship would be to prioritise those who are least likely to survive if they end up in the water; children, the elderly, the disabled, and anyone who is injured. Healthy adults come last, male and female.

I totally read that first line as "The reason the Titanic went down was because they saved women and children first"
