If you're a female working in the City then you better not get pregnant because you WILL be shown the door. This government couldn't care less about gender inequality. The BBC pay so much less than ITV etc. Ant and Dec got 30million in a year. I'm not saying that it's okay for them to be paid so much but if they gave them a basic salary then they wouldn't be competitive so there would be no good presenters on the BBC.

To be fair the entire thing is a supply and demand issue; if they want to keep them, then they have to pay them more than a commercial channel would pay to "steal" them. But... on the other hand... I can believe that a commercial channel would pay a fortune for Norton, and even for Lineker (simply because of the stupid amount of money in Football)... but I refuse to believe that the BBC's rivals are queuing round the block to snap up bloody Chris Evans .
