And I honestly don't get what was so sinister about Raph that was any different from people like Kieran, Tom, Ellie, Sam, and Joe? Or hell most of them in there including Isabelle?

I do agree with the view that we didn't see a true portrayal of Tom, and I think that's largely as a consequence of producers choosing to focus on louder, more argumentative characters such as Chanelle, and on the showmance. I think that's a shame and believe that the four finalists indicate that audiences would prefer to see true civilian housemates in BB rather than those with agents.
Regarding Raph, I think he brought out extremes in posters on here- views were either intensely negative or intensely positive. The word 'sinister' to describe Raph is an example of this, and imo is an inappropriate and unfair way to describe him due to what the word implies. He certainly wasn't sinister. I do not know Raph, either in person or from Tibb, but I think he deserved his second place and came across like a very decent and genuine guy in his interview. I base that judgement on Raph as a personality, rather than on his cultural heritage. I'm sure there are some people who choose not to support someone due to their culture, race, etc, as there are in any society, but I would like to think most people base their judgements on personality. |

He wasn't sinister...I merely used the word chosen by MysticMock...I found him manipulative and I felt he used people including his friends to make him look good. Last edited by rusticgal; 30-07-2017 at 10:22 AM. |

I don't know, but i don't like it when people bring up someone's race. I don't get what that has to do with how good of a housemate you are. Very confusing thread.

I didn't say he was sinister and I didn't say anyone said he was sinister...you used the word I just replied quoting your terminology.

As I hadn't recognized a racial breakdown of the housemates at all but just went on how I perceived them during their time in the house, I am astounded that some will take this view at all.
It is an English TV programme but since when has this type of voting, in this type of programme been biased towards nationality. If Tom had not been up Lotan and Keirons backsides so much, he might have been more likeable. If he had not been so foul to Isabelle he might have got more votes, but he was and he did, so he was lucky to get so far in my book. |

Why does it matter where they are from?

They were all treated equally and fairly. We view them as housemates and not on where they are from.
