Of course they would, why not? If they're off the drink what's the issue?

And the drink is limited so can never go too far anyway.

I said this a few days ago actually. He reminds me of me when I have taken my meds. I really need them and am meant to take them all of the time but I can only take them on a night as I slur and fall into things And I don't think its right for the kids to see me like that

Its a job though..the temptation of drink is around everyone in everyday life tbh

I would definitely agree with this. On tonights show though he was way OTT with Sarah, especially as he heard what she had said second hand so it could have been misunderstood or something. He seems extremely touchy when anyone mentions drink (or drugs) so I think the fight is always on his mind. I do think, yet again, Sarah wound it up a lot on purpose too...when he was upset about all of that and shes like 'have you had a drink tonight Paul?'...

I don't think they do medical screenings anymore tbh. Infact given Nikki was let into BB years back I don't think they have done it for a long time. So many housemates over the years have been (IMO) way too fragile to deal with BB.

Another obvious alcoholic that comes to mind is Denise Welch. I think the producers love people like that tbh, as they know they will get drama/headlines. Exploitation for our entertainment basically :S

Paul is struggling to handle not being able to have a drink...he vented his frustration on Sarah who had done nothing wrong.

Paul is having difficulty sleeping, and knowing now that he has a drink problem, I am very surprised he chose to go on BB. BB would drive the purest soul to drink and drugs. His loss of temper shows he is losing control. I feel a bit sorry for him tbh....and Sarah.

But at least he's not drinking. That's good.

I agree. I think he was sensible to reveal he was struggling at that moment and to talk to someone about it in order to overcome his temptation. I don't think he was trying to make others feel guilty but just trying to address his own difficulties.

It wouldn't bother me if I was drinking and someone discussed their issues as Paul did and it wouldn't make me feel guilty- I don't think that was Paul's intention either.

If he's still at the stage where he's struggling constantly he definitely shouldn't be in there.

Yes, much better way of looking at it (and congrats on still being dry..I remember speaking to you years back about this )

There ARE ex-alcoholics BUT I think the temptation never goes away. So you can stop the drinking but its always there in the back of your mind. Some people are strong enough to ignore it, but it is still always there. My view on addictions , definitely been this way with my addictions anyway

We've had alcoholics, drug addicts, people with anorexia, people on the verge of suicide. They don't give a sh*t.

Paul is **** stirring hypocrite little stain in the cat litter box..who over reacts at the drop of a hat

I think Sarah just literally said what most people are thinking.. he behaves like he is 'on' something be it drink/drugs etc...

I always thought things like tablets /medicine were kept with BB to be dished out in DR?

Brave for him maybe but a pain in the arse for everyone else, there is nothing worse than a reformed drinker/smoker

I would pour mine over him if he kept going on about it

I understand it cant be easy to not be able to drink but you dont bring other people down for it. Thats not right. If you are struggling go and talk to big brother as im sure they have people on hand to council him a little. Move away from it for a bit and take a time out.

If his problem is still so acute, then he should have turned down the invite, but of course, like most of them in there, celebrity is more important than their actual lives!
