How is this allowed?

She is a divorcee

In previous times Harry would be ordered to dump her by the palace officials the way that Prince Andrew was ordered to drop Koo Stark.

Maybe there is still time for common sense to prevail and Harry be instructed to marry one of the European princesses

at that time Andrew was 2nd in line for the throne whereas Harry is well down the pecking order now. Also, the queen has passed her most lucid years
