I practically already am. I meet up with old friends from school every 6 months or so and we throw back a few, and I'll have a drink at events like weddings / "adults only" parties but that's it. I don't drink casually e.g. in the house (or in fact ever at all around the kids) so basically I only have any alcohol maybe 3 or 4 times a year.

I wouldn't say I judge people for enjoying alcohol or for drinking - but I do think the fact that it's socially accepted as "normal" that a huge number of people have a functional / low level alcohol dependence is pretty worrying .

To me its not a state that needs to be defined. You drink or you don't. There is no necessity to pigeon hole it

I never really liked alcohol, only used to have a beer like once a month. I don't drink at all now and haven't for almost a year because I'm on medication which prohibits the consumption of it.

Teetotal is fine providing you can find drinkable things ! Every soft drink is so choc full of sugar or sweeteners they are undrinkable , at least alcoholic drinks aren't full of plastic like bottled and tap water !

Yes I go to bars and clubs I just drink coke or appletiser and I have the best nights I think it depends where you are and who your with everyone is different

Not much of a drinker - the odd glass of wine when I go out. Wouldn’t want to be one of those passed out on the street - not a good look. Rather put the money to better use like spending on a holiday or something. Drink is expensive - hangovers are horrible - give me a holiday anyway.
