The Green Mile is a brilliant film. Kirk is right; Green Mile and Shawshank both easily transcend the rating of "Great Stephen King film" into just straight up "great film".

I do also love how all of his works are interconnected, e.g. the concept of the "Shine", which both father and son have in The Shining (obviously) but also loads of other characters, like John Cofey (seems to have it more strongly than any other character), Mother Abigail in The Stand (and arguably, most if not all of the plague survivors to varying extent), Stan in IT, etc.

I've sadly not seen the others! I've heard good things though! Christine looks tempting.

Will have to make a point of watching.

Cujo is another I want to see, seems to be a cult classic.

I've only seen 1408 once, I found it watchable but that's it really. Christine is the same, a fun enough watch but not more. The sorts of films you watch once. Thinner isn't very good, and I'm personally not a huge Carrie fan either...

I haven't actually seen The Mist

Apparently Amazon has picked up The Dark Tower TV show which could be great ***i******* they go in a completely different direction to last year's movie, and do it properly. The Tower is the thing that ties together King's "Universe" and it deserves to be treated well .

One of my all time favourite horror scenes (or scenes in general)

Still haven't seen the new one (honestly I got sick of hearing about it so avoided it ) but the Tim Curry one will always be a favourite of mine.

Take all of the subtleness, creepiness and sense of dread out of the photo book scene and replace it with a daft over the top jump scare sequence with a giant head gnashing it's teeth and stuff.

Actually that pretty much sums up the difference between the two IT adaptations .

And it's a shame because the kid actors are actually all great .
