I always thought banter was people taking the P!ss out of each other for comedic value? usually male friends.

The word I'd use to describe what they were doing, is flirting.

He's an utter pig and I don't think there's any way to defend his behavior. HE made the choice to pursue a showmance and lie about his marriage, HE tried to get Chloe to lie about it on the outside to save face, HE was the one being utterly disgusting about her when it all blew up in his face to make her look like the bad guy.

We know what he thinks of women from those book excerpts of his and his behaviour in the house has shown he is every bit the mysoginistic twat he always was.

When you find yourself jumping through all sorts of logic loops to justify someone's behaviour than usually it's a pretty big telltale sign that you are in the wrong.

There's a difference between being insulting towards someone else and that someone else wishing they were insulted so they can take the moral high ground.

You can comment on opinions all you like just like I am now.

When someone is inventing terms to defend what is quite blatantly wrong behavior then they should come to the realisation that they are probably in the wrong.

Things that are right don't take leaps of logic to explain.

And anyway, its obvious he is in a dead marraige...it is never going to last that is clear, and its clear its NOT because of bb...so why shouldnt he put feelers out if he so wishes now that his marraige is almost over....seems to me like him and his mrs just inhabit the same house...no love left for eachother...
