Neve Campbell was reluctant to return for another movie and once they convinced her she only gave them 20 days out of her schedule (I think she was doing a TV series back then) so more focus was given to the others.

I don't mind since I found Parker Posey and Courtney Cox hilarious (despite Cox's HORRIFIC haircut).

Yeah I heard that and understand them having to add more scenes elsewhere to cover that up but I wish it had been a little less of Dewey and Gale heavy. Especially towards the end.

Parker Posey was amazing though, definitely the best part of the movie, would have liked to see her survive actually and kill off Patrick Dempsey.

Roman was so left field and he was a succesful person with or without Maureen around and it never felt real, like when Jill started self harming I think most viewers got that this girl was just an out and out psycho bitch. Roman wants revenge on Sid because their mother abandoned him? Sid knew nothing about it? Just never made any sense.

Roman was Jealous of the Life Sidney had and He Wanted. Their Mother Abandoned Him Following her Gang Rape and Started a New Life. He Searched for her for Years and when he finally Discovered her and expected her to welcome him back into her life, She told him she wanted nothing to do with him and Slammed the door in his face. It was Out Of Jealously he wanted Sidney Dead.

He Was Motivated by Revenge, Jill just wanted her 15 Minutes

The thing I didn't like about Roman was didn't they retcon that he was behind the killers in Scream 1 and 2? Like the puppeteer? I HATED that.

You're Correct. He Discovered and Filmed His Mother and Billy's Father Having an affair and Showed the Tape to Billy. This Led to his Parents divorce and Drove Billy Mad.

It still doesn't make sense to me that Roman targetted Sid. Yes I understand him feeling anger towards Maureen because she turned him away but Sid never knew.

Just felt like a silly plot device rather than a believable development in the story like Billy's mum wanting revenge.

Killing for fun is more realistic than one killer showing up in multiple places unrealistically quickly and having a device that can mimic anyone's voice.
