Indeed it is. I'd say this, just turn it off if you are not happy with it. I can see people may/may not like it but at least there is an option there to turn it on if you want it or off if you don't.

Kiz thanks for giving it a go - at least you tried it out, it's obviously not something you are ever going to like which is a shame but I can understand your reasons.

I suppose another way to look at it is there have been far fewer arguments on the forum since it started! people are responding by removing Karma rather than giving someone a load of abuse. Yes spiteful but surely better.

I dont think its going to stop all arguments but every little helps xx

Ahh right. But Iv'e just realised that Iv'e had one taken off me since this morning when I haven't been online until now, but I don't care.
Maybe some people have been going around giving people -karma for the hell of it, but personally I haven't really seen that.

I appreciate that you dont like it I really do - and like I said I understand your reasons for not liking it but many others on the forum do like it.

Its about compromise really, Mark created a compromise for those of you who dont like it and left it on for those who do

Sunny... your misunderstanding me.... I like the karma system.... I really really do but what I dont like is the fact there is too much negativeness going on.

I dont feel i have done anything, until starting this thread to warrant taking a point away from me today.

I feel i am not being listened to because people assume that I dont like the system... I do

I don't think so. I think the -karma is good because as Sunny said, it has stopped some arguments happening. Twice i've given it because some posts REALLY annoyed me, i was going to respond but i knew from what he had already posted, adding my tuppence would be pointless so i just minused his karma - it made me feel better.

You see I dont agree I dont think there is a huge amount of negativity going on, in fact I see a lot of members with Karma points, yes we lose a few along the way but thats life really. A minority of members are going to use it in a silly way, but that doesnt mean that the majority of us who use it in a responsible way have to let it get to us!

Fine.... I used to love this place..... but as far as I can see its now tunred, for some people, into snide and backstabbing fest.

Like I said before, would people still take karma away if we could see who has done it.... no.

I see what you are saying, but I don't think you see what Kiz is saying. You took karma off someone for a post that annoyed you. Kiz hadn't done anything wrong. Someone took karma off her for the sheer hell of it.
