Firstly I agree that this type of image has past it sell by date now, but as to disrespecting the sheep this is the position they would be in to have their wool sheared and if that wasn't done they would die...so...

I saw it on Countryfile

apparently there are breeds that do not require shearing but domesticated sheep would just get heavier and heavier and the heat would kill them

Oh interesting, I wonder was it humans who bred them to be that way? Seems a bit cruel that nature would create an animal that would die without human intervention
