even if they had the panel being on mic in remote locations would help in getting a reaction, it's just so sterile. I also think that much of a players performance on the day is responding to the crowd, particularly players on the break

I think people will like it better with the Premier League because they care more about the teams, and are more invested in it.

I did watch a bit of the Bundesliga yesterday though and the crowd noise actually works quite well

our own national broadcaster NOS, does re-air some classic sports events, also kinda a positive coming out of corona, revisiting those again (also with commentary from that day, footage from tv studio's the specific year)
