My lil brother uses my youtube account and the feed thing is just crammed with those stupid Ben Shapiro BURNS students and crap like that.

If "winning" a "debate" against people who are most likely still in their teens with no real life experience and studying something like gender studies is the best people can say about Shapiro, what does that say about him?

I'm a bit of a fan... although I don't agree with him on everything. He does have some really good, positive stuff to say. Also he ****ed off Piers Morgan and that pleases me.

I used to hate Peston because of he awful.... haaalting… dragged. out. way. of speeeeeeeeaking. But he amuses me now.

I mean I've always found Shapiro annoying and I had no idea he was Jewish, and I find him less annoying than Owen Jones, but annoying for similar reasons... I don't think annoyingness is really about the viewpoints expressed or their political leanings... You can find people's personality and how they come across annoying or you can find their opinions annoying (or both). I think most people have taken this thread in the "annoying personality" sense? Like I said, Shapiro and Owen Jones have very different leanings but they have a very similarly irritating "vibe".

I never said he wasn't irritating... it is predictable though, how people pile en masse in when I've said something they can get a hook into.

Yes, Shapiro can be annoying and he says a lot of things I disagree with... for instance I don't agree at all with his stance on abortion. But he's said some stuff that I totally agree with too. And I guess what I admire about him most is the way he can have people attack him simply for who he is, they don't agree with him so they attack him - and most of the time he takes it on the chin.

I've fallen down a rabbit hole now, it's rather fun watching that Shapiro idiot get destroyed over and over again in discussions and how quick he is to throw his toys out of the pram.

Shapiro just talks fast really, he hopes to overwhelm his opposition which is why he often only debates students because they are easy to throw off. When he comes up against someone competent, he completely falls apart because his usual empty tactics get cast aside.

Yeah I don't necessarily disagree with all of his opinions but I really dislike how he puts them across and debates, he's very belittling and smug and yeah usually only gets away with that with younger college students. I watched some of his interview with Joe Rogan actually and it was noticable how differently he speaks with him
