...yeah it’s most definitely a story I’m going to follow as best as I can with the reports we get here...and I agree, his father and the killer were apparently friends and had known each other a long time...So colour related doesn’t make sense...but that’s obviously what his mum and grandmother believe, though...

The killer's drugs-offense list makes it very, very, very unlikely that they were actually friends, rather than "friends" in a drugs (probably dealing) capacity. Drugs were almost certainly involved in the killing (I struggle to believe that anyone sober could murder a child in the street in cold blood) and money was almost certainly involved in the motive.

Obviously I don't "know" anything more than anyone else, I'll just be very surprised if that doesn't turn out to be the case.

I'm not gonna play the "no-one cares because he's white" card, but it is curious that a woman who phoned the police because a black dude was harassing her and her dog got more Internet attention than a murderer.

It's a terrible story that's now being used to fuel racist propaganda. Lots of racists are trying to position this poor child as the face of White Lives Matter and it's just awful. It reminds me of how racists and bigots cling to Lee Rigby for justification of their hatred and it just enrages me.

If I was killed, I would hate it if a bunch of dumbass racists tried to use my death and my image as a tool for their hatred.
