Maybe they were, or at least passing acquaintances? The mother said she thought "oh he's playing with the kids" or something, and how many mothers would think that in a nonconcerned way about a man they didn't know?

Well the article said that he'd been round to their house the evening before for dinner so you would assume that they're more than acquaintances

....I was just reading the DM article...a neighbour who saw it said that he just walked up to Cannon and put the gun to his forehead and shot him...there had never been any cross words between them on any occasion previously...all very odd...


...and I’m being a bit dumb, Caitlin...but why the Gofundme page set up straight away, is that something that would be expected to be done...to pay for funeral costs or something....?...it seems set up by a grandparent who did it quite quickly...?....and some of the donation quotes...’we have to look after our own’...‘it’s a hate crime’...but no one knows of a motive yet...

I think their relationship is almost certainly drug related, and there has been some falling out at the "dinner" involving drugs (most likely one owing the other money and/or drugs). Absolutely tragic that a child has gotten caught up in this mess and lost their life. And as has been said - two other children who will most likely suffer severe trauma from seeing their brother killed.

We don’t know the motive, so I’m not sure why people would mention a hate crime. I don’t think it’s good to jump to conclusions.

But here it is fairly common to set up a gofundme as soon as something like this happens. It’s more so because of the cost of healthcare/funeral expenses etc. It’s sad but I’m sure it can help the family somewhat with the financial burden of everything going on rn

Presumably the guy was completely ‘off his head’ on drugs to do something so unthinkable ?

Well after watching far too many gangster movies I always thought they did that sort of killing as punishment or to stop someone from blabbing about something serious but this was a 5yr old kid ..

...I don’t know, maybe what Shaun says is more the thing that happened...but there seems to be a lot more to this story of this horrendous thing...Cannon’s mum seems very, very active on social media since the shooting...the problem as well is that we never know how accurate any reporting is...Here are some of the quotes from his mum that are being reported in the Daily Mail article...





‘I will burn this country down if it’s what it’ll take to see this man burn in hell. I’m ready to flip this county upside down,’ Waddell wrote to Facebook Monday.

‘This was not because my baby was riding a bike.

‘We will get our justice and I’m taking every damn body down right with him!

‘Please ride the roads, keep your eyes out. My other kids are in danger as threats were made, this scum bag is not far,’ she added, hours before Sessoms was arrested.

‘I want this man to be taken away from his child forever.’

‘My baby didn’t see color, my baby made sure you knew he loved you even if he only knew you 5 minutes idc what damn color you were!’ she wrote.


....again, colour/race is mentioned straight away on social media by the family...as it was on the GoFundMe page that was set up....saying that Cannon wasn’t killed because he was riding a bike/...is this all inferring that he was killed because he was white..?...it seems to be what the family are actively saying on social media...

It’s getting some attention, but not as much as it would if the roles were reversed. But that’s just how society is these days.

I would not have heard about this at all if I didn’t use FB. The craziest thing is that it’s not my white friends or black friends that have shared it, it’s actually been my mixed race friends... that really surprised me. (I did have an older white ‘friend’ on fb share something about it, but it was propaganda and I’m just going to ignore that)

...I’ve tried to find some USA news reports on YouTube because it must have had some coverage, a story of a 5yr old boy being ‘executed’ and with no apparent motive known and in front of his sisters...I mean, that’s just in itself, a huge story...a world news event...?...but any vids I clicked on, we’re all just voice over things...they weren’t from the news channels out there, I don’t think...

...oh thank you, Caitlin...I just got a report from Fox News on YouTube...on there it was mentioned again that him mum and grandmother feel it’s a ‘colour killing’, there are some quotes from them....but still the police are releasing no motive...
