Not directly from this game specifically, I assume it means she sold video game rights to WB in full at some point in the past, probably for a large sum but that's a "done deal" and she won't earn money dependant on sales of this game.

Then again, I'd be somewhat surprised if they didn't consult her on a few story/world elements and pay a consultation fee for that, but again that would be a flat fee not linked to actual sales.

I'd be surprised if it was now because gaming is such a huge industry now, but she might have naively sold the video game rights back when the PS1 games were being made, as the money in games wasn't anything like it is now. As I said though, given how detailed the game is likely to be, I'd be very surprised if she wasn't consulted.

Yeah, true. It's not just that but she's known to be very guarded over the rights to Harry Potter and doesn't relinquish them easily. I think it's very rare she sells them off without any input at all.

This is why she's "uncancelable" because not even people who hate her want to boycott her work so make up reasons why it's not really supporting her

I find it tough to understand really, even if she was everything she's made out to be... If I didn't read books/watch movies/play games that had involvement from people with "murky" personal lives and opinions, I'd have a VERY limited library . I've read some great literature by authors with far worse strikes on their resume than anything JK Rowling is accused of. "I only consume content from people I agree with" is just such a closed system.
