If the world had ever been (in living memory, anyway) a borderless free-for-all where we were free to travel as we pleased then that could almost be a point... but it wasn't that pre-covid. I guess that's harder for people in this country to appreciate because we did have VIRTUALLY free movement in terms of travel before Covid. I would however be very much against any legislation that would stop kids accessing education etc., as I always have been for vaccination.

That's when it starts to become "effectively" mandatory. My reasoning is the same as ever. Too much of a slippery slope to start making ANY medical procedure mandatory.

If you go to certain areas vaccinations for Cholera and Hep B and other diseases are mandatory, that is why schools tend to stick to places in Europe that don't require vaccination or go to the States...

To be fair it's 10 in 10000 "life threatening condition" which doesn't mean 10/10k death. My immediate assumption is brain swelling though which carries other risks besides death (permanent disability).
