Sounds like English women know more about football than the men do so I’d say a women is more than capable of commentating on it.

I know we don't get on, but just stop, you openly admit you don't know anything about football, which in itself is fine, we all have the right to like, and not stuff, but the more you post about this in comparing the men's game to the woman's game, the more you're digging yourself into a hole. They're simply not comparable.

As for the women on commentary and as pundits, 90% are literally awful and it's shocking at how bad their knowledge is tbh, however i don't let it bother me unlike *cough* Zizu *cough* . But in saying that, a good 75% of the men are just as awful too. I rarely bother listening to any of it anymore.

Meh, you rarely hear the "it's a man's game" draconian view anymore. In fact, football is the biggest, most multi cultured, and universal game in the world. It brings people from all walks of life together. The days of the (usually white) racist/homophobic/misogynistic lager lout fans have reduced tremendously in the last 15/20 years. Most people aren't bothered if it's men or women on the commentary, or as pundits, but the issue is, and this is just the truth, in recent years (last 3 or 4) women have been rushed into men's coverage of football, which is perfectly fine in itself, but they are presented as "experts" which they clearly aren't.

But i don't really want to debate this, Arsenal vs Man Utd is about to start. My advice would be (to people like Zizu ) if you don't like it, don't listen to it, don't watch the chat before and after the game. It's not that deep. If you put men, and women together in the hat of pundits and commentators, a good 80% are shockingly bad and annoying. It's nothing new.

There is ONE decent female ‘footie expert’ and that’s Sue Smith .. sadly she is locked into the Sky Sports Saturday LIVE Scores programme Channel 409 and doesn’t appear anywhere eise . She is actually knowledgeable and likeable- she’s a natural who doesn’t try too hard like all the others .
