Up to episode 6 now. It’s really good. If anyone likes a murder mystery, I recommend watching.

…I love the pace of this, it skips along joyfully…and I love the characters…Cordelia Cupp, what a great name for a detective……and I love Susan Kelechi Watson anyway, she was fabulous in This is Us…plus Kylie Minogue, I mean….this really is a lovely little watch……

….ahhhhhh, I loved this……you’re in for such a treat @Niamh. ….and yeah, Uzo Aduba who plays Cordelia Cupp is so likeable…Cordelia Cupp is such a great detective names as well, so Agatha Christie-ish….don’t fetch Poirot!!!!!…fetch Ms Cupp…!!!!!!!!!…love it……

I loved her in orange is the New Black, I did get a bit fed up of Orange is the New Black and stopped watching a few seasons in but she was the best part about it

Season 2 is rumoured to be confirmed soon.

The Residence" will not have a Season 2 because Netflix canceled the show after its first season in 2025. The show, starring Uzo Aduba, was a White House-set murder mystery that debuted in March 2025. Despite decent viewership and generally positive reviews, it did not meet Netflix's internal metrics for renewal.

Netflix puzzle me sometimes. This show performed well and got good reviews but they cancel it, meanwhile so many poorer shows remain.

…I don’t know how strong the ratings were, I have to say that when I watched it/when it came out, it didn’t feel as though there was a buzz surrounding it of chatting and having a big fan base…I loved it…..Cordelia Cupp is a great detective character and I generally love that chilled detective series feel of Sunday Evening murders back in the day……Murder She Wrote, Columbo and Residence had shades of Miss Marple as well…

…there is a few of that type of series atm, though…Poker Face, Man on the Inside, Only Murders in the Building, No Good Deed, High Potential…probably more, I don’t know …but I guess it’s a thing of a genre/type that only the strongest rating one or two will survive because it’s such a fast moving thing in series popularity…

..the problem is that we’re on overload a bit with very similar series so they really have to be stand out to be more than just a chilled weekend viewing…I did like Residence and I loved Cordelia Cupp as a character but I can also see why it was cancelled…there are a lot of series that I start and then just leave by the side because we’re getting so used to those instant grab type storylines that are a lot more in the riveting aisle…
