Take pictures of the gifts at various stages of unwrapping and give those and deliver the gifts on your return or .... get everything in duty free

…I’m so lazy and not into it and I have so much to do this year…one of my sons said that all he wanted was his n hers Mom, I Want to Hear Your Story/Dad, I Want to Hear Your Story journals….and I have bought the journals but mine is still un-opened and I think there might be around 500 questions or something…/…so possibly a long write….I don’t know why he didn’t just ask for after shave or boxer shorts or something…anyways, two months-ish to complete it…

…so, it’s not empty anymore…yesterday I started to write it…/…to answer the ‘life journey’ questions …I’m doing it in pencil first just to keep in neat/and going over in pen later so obviously quite a long task…I knew that it would be long and I needed to start it and stop being so lazy etc…but what I didn’t realise/and already after just beginning it…is how emotional it would be to consciously walk though your life in this way…its really quite wow and evoking so much emotion…/…not just of days gone by but of people gone by…

….I’m guessing that was his intention in asking us to do these journals…

I have 2 more birthdays before I can start panicking abou Christmas. My niece will be 17 and my daughter 5. I am well into my Christmas shopping though, and have all the little presents for Hanukkah, it's easier to buy them throughout the year.

Do you do both Hanukkah and Christmas at your house Liv? I used to get Hannukah gifts off my friends family and then she would come to us on Christmas. I loved it, double presents

Yes, always done both. You can't beat double presents! My OH isn't Jewish and my in laws are coming this year, although Hanukkah is earlier this year so they'll only catch the end of it. I remember you talking about your friend, are you still in touch?

We are still in touch but dont see each other as much as we did....kids get in the way lol. Many happy memories of Friday Night dinners at her house....her mum made the best roast potatoes ever
