Damn Dude, Youre making some big claims there! Are you certain about that? If so, why havent they been independant for a long time? I dotn see a reason to sit on a chance of becoming the wealthiest country in Europe.

But you said that the supposed huge olfield, wont be touched until Scotland is independant! So what does England have to gain fro keeping Scotland in the UK? Wouldnt it be better for England to encourage independance, and negociate a share of that enourmous wealth?

North sea oil is still in abundance though. that would be like england blackmailing scotland into sharing it's economic wealth.

SCOTLAND CAN'T BECOME INDEPENDENT!
I HATE Alex Salmond!
We would need a passport to get to England!
The telly would be rubbish!
Gordon Brown is Scottish and the Prime Minister. He won't let it happen.

And Scotland have invented The Bank of England, Bank of France, The Digestive Biscuit, Televison, Telephone, Tarmac, Chicken Tikka Masala, Boys' Brigade, Colour Photography, Penicillin, the Encyclopaedia Britannica, The Post Office + lots more.

So trusts me you need Scotland in the UK.

Masala is in bold because Chicken Tikka was invented in Bangladesh but the Masala sauce was invented in Glasgow.

Wrong
letting Scotland free from English Politics
is a great move forward.

England would still trade with Scotland
it would not change.

And 'Mr Build Debt on Debt' Brown
will not be in power when they are given Freedom.

In theory it sounds like a great idea, but I'm not sure it would work in practice, and once we go independant there's no turning back, so if we fail, we suffer.

It probably would 'work' economically, after-all other small countries are economically successful - apart from Iceland it seems . I just think being seperate countries would make things difficult for a lot of people and businesses for the reasons I mentioned previously.

I'm not knowledgeable on the subject so my opinion probably won't offer much but surely the UK is stronger when all four countries together? Why Risk making one independant and potentially failing when we can stick together?

Thats because in Politics
we do not stick as one.

Scotland on it's own is a winnner
From Japan to America - they are selling products big time.

England has more to chance of failing
with this hated Scottish PM (Idiot who builds debt on debt)
that Scotland Kicked out
when the SNP won.

As an Englishman I have no objections if the Scottish want, and indeed vote for, independence. I just think they'd be terribly stupid to do so.

There's lots of claims about oil reserves and the sort, but how long will that last?

I'm quite patriotic, but more so to Britain than England on its own. I support all 4 nations when it comes to sports (I really hate the rivalry between some of us), so I think it'd just be a shame to see 300 years of unity thrown away because of some angry nationalists.

I want Welsh independence - so I don't see why Scotland shouldn't have one.

Yes you can have that
that will save us English
Billions of Pounds.

But once you get it
you do not have a Market place like the Great Scotland has.
